The Ice Bowazon isn't as gear dependent in many ways, so it enjoys a plethora of possible choices.

More than other builds, several options are presented for gear. The Nightwing's Veil helm is also nearly tailor-made for Ice Bowazons, with plenty of cold-related attributes and +2 to all skills. Depending on the type of base bow used, this can be tailored to fit either method of dealing with Cold Immunes. The best end-game bow for this Ice Bowazon is a bow used with the aptly named runeword Ice. Ice Bowazons, as implied by the name, are highly dependent on their bows for damage and properties. Mana Regeneration is also a very, very useful item property.įor this reason, Ice Bowazons will be investing more points into Mana than other Amazon builds. However, you don't get MpK from kills made by other players, your Mercenary, Valkyrie, traps, etc. It's half in Nightmare and 1/3 in Hell.ĭon't get me wrong - Mana Stealing is still good and worth pursuing, but you may get more value out of (MpK), as it doesn't care what type of damage you do. Third, the higher you go, the more resistant the mobs are to having Mana or Life stolen from them.

There is evidence that a higher Increased Attack Speed (IAS) negatively affects the amount of Mana you steal. MS (and Life Steal) in Diablo II requires either melee damage or Physical damage ranged shots your ice attacks won't steal Mana.

This is a constant struggle with Ice Bowazons. This build recommends the latter as being less fussy. There are a number of ways to get around this, including having a weapon switch to a more Physical-damaged focused bow such as Windforce and using Strafe, or by investing points into an alternate elemental attack such as Fire. These are one of the more common annoying monster abilities you'll encounter, and they start showing up in Nightmare. Some of these require a little more explanation.Ĭold Immunes.
